The GMGN Telegram bot is not one bot. It is a family of official bots, one per supported chain, plus a main entry-point bot, all run by the same team that operates the gmgn.ai web terminal. If you only remember one thing from this guide, make it this: the trading bots can buy, sell, set up copy trades, and show your wallet, but they cannot withdraw. Withdrawals live on the website only.

That distinction matters because most of the confusion around "gmgn bot telegram" comes from two directions. First, people expect a single all-purpose bot and get lost between handles. Two things stand out. The Ethereum bot is named @GMGN_swap_bot, not @GMGN_eth_bot, which is why people searching for a "gmgn eth bot" often end up on impostor accounts with the more obvious name. And the main bot, @gmgnaibot, is the one used in referral links (the t.me/gmgnaibot?start=i_CODE format), so it is the bot most likely to be spoofed.

GMGN also runs alert channels on Telegram for signals and announcements, and the official community group is t.me/gmgnai. Channels are read-only; they never ask you to send funds or connect a wallet. Newer chains in the web terminal such as Robinhood Chain, Monad, Blast, Arc, and Stable do not have a documented dedicated bot as of September 2026; trade those through the GMGN AI app web terminal instead. What can the GMGN Telegram bot actually do?

Per GMGN's docs, the bot supports four job families:

• Buy and sell. Paste a token contract address, choose an amount, and execute. Sells work the same way from your holdings list.
• Copy trade setup. Configure a copy-trade task that follows a target wallet (Solana only).
• Wallet. View the GMGN-generated wallet address and balance for that chain, and switch between wallets where multi-wallet is supported.
• Referral. Get your referral link and see rebate stats.

And the hard limit:

There is also a broader design point: logging in through Telegram creates a GMGN-generated hosted wallet per chain. GMGN disabled private-key export on all chains around 19 March 2025, so the bot wallet is a hot trading account, not storage. Keep only what you are actively trading in it.

What commands does the bot use?

Every Telegram bot responds to /start, and that is the command that matters most here. Sending /start to @GMGN_sol_bot opens the main menu with inline buttons for buying, positions, wallet, copy trading, settings, and referral. GMGN's documentation does not publish an exhaustive slash-command reference as of September 2026, and the button menus change with releases, so treat the in-bot menu as the source of truth rather than any third-party command list.

In practice the workflow is:

1. Send /start to the chain bot you want (for Solana, @GMGN_sol_bot).

How does copy trading work through the bot?

Copy trading is the feature that makes the Telegram route worth understanding, because copy tasks require a Telegram login. According to GMGN's docs, a browser-wallet login (Trade with Wallet mode) cannot run automation tasks at all.

Key constraints from the documentation:

• Solana only. Copy trading is not documented for BSC, Ethereum, Base, or Tron.
• Max 10 concurrent copy tasks per account.
• Buy methods: Fixed buy (same amount every time) or Max follow-buy (proportional to the target).
• Sell methods: follow-sell, no-follow, TP/SL, or batched TP/SL.
• Filters: market cap, liquidity, token age, burnt ratio, min/max copy amount, position-increase count, launchpad, and a 20-token blacklist.
• Lightning Mode: roughly 2 seconds faster but reports unconfirmed messages, with rollback risk.
• Auto-pause after 3 consecutive failed copies.

Reported copy latency is typically 2 to 5 seconds. Whether you build the task in the bot or in the web terminal, it runs on GMGN's servers, not on your phone. The web terminal has the richer editing interface, so a common pattern is to create tasks on the site and monitor them from Telegram. One warning on economics: at GMGN's recommended 0.006 SOL priority fee per leg for automated orders, a 0.1 SOL copy trade needs roughly a 14 percent move just to break even on a round trip. Size copy tasks accordingly.

What is the group commission route?

GMGN's referral program pays the referrer 10 to 30 percent of referred users' trading fees (base 10 percent, higher tiers by application). Besides personal links, the docs describe a group route: add the GMGN bot to a Telegram group and earn on trades that group members execute through it.

This is how many alpha groups and call channels monetize. If you are a member of such a group, understand that trades placed through the group's bot instance credit the group owner. Is there a GMGN sniper bot on Telegram?

Searches for "gmgn sniper bot telegram" mix two different things. GMGN's sniping tools (Trenches columns for New, Almost Bonded, and Migrated tokens, hotkey buying, filters for snipers, insiders, and bundlers) are web terminal features. Any Telegram account advertising itself as a "GMGN sniper bot" with a different handle from the table above is not GMGN. Sniper-bot scams are among the most common ways new traders lose a wallet's contents: they ask you to "import" a key so the bot can "snipe faster." GMGN's own bots never ask for a private key or seed phrase.

Is there a GMGN volume bot?

No. This deserves its own section because the phrase "gmgn volume bot" appears constantly in Telegram ads and on marketplace sites.

A volume bot is software that wash-trades a token across many wallets to fake activity and push it up trending lists. GMGN does not offer one, does not document one, and its official GitHub contains no such tool. Products sold as a "GMGN volume bot" are third-party scripts that at best hit GMGN's public API endpoints and at worst are wallet drainers.

Three practical reasons to walk away:

1. GMGN's security panel flags bundlers, insiders, and suspicious wallet clusters. Volume-bot activity is exactly what those checks are built to expose, so buying volume tends to mark your token as manipulated.
2. GMGN charges its flat 1 percent fee on every buy and sell. Wash trading through GMGN burns 2 percent per round trip before priority fees.
3. Anything that asks you to load private keys into third-party software so it can trade "for you" has full control of those funds.

If a seller says their volume bot is "built on GMGN," they mean it uses GMGN as a swap route, not that GMGN made it.

What about GMGN bots on GitHub?

The official organization is github.com/GMGNAI. Its flagship project is gmgn-skills, an MIT-licensed toolkit of 12 skills (token info, trending, K-line, wallet analysis, holders, orders, portfolio, due-diligence scoring, and more) meant to run inside AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Cline. It uses the official Agent API with keys from gmgn.ai/ai. It is not a Telegram bot.

Repositories titled "gmgn bot," "gmgn sniper," or "gmgn copy trade bot" hosted under other usernames are third-party. Some are legitimate hobby projects; many are stale scrapers of GMGN's older undocumented endpoints that break whenever the site changes; a few are malicious. Before running any of them:

• Read the code for anything that transmits keys or seed phrases.
• Check whether it uses the documented API at papi.gmgn.ai with a real API key, or an undocumented endpoint.
• Remember that trading via the API still pays the 1 percent GMGN fee; there is no fee bypass.

How do you verify a real GMGN bot vs a fake?

Fake GMGN bots are the single largest phishing vector around the product. In October 2025, roughly 107 GMGN users were hit by a phishing wave, and GMGN promised full compensation (reported by Lookonchain). That was an unusual outcome; most bot-impersonation losses are never recovered.

Run this checklist every time, not just the first time:

1. Start from an official surface. Open the bot from a link on gmgn.ai, docs.gmgn.ai, or the pinned messages in t.me/gmgnai. Never from a DM, a forwarded message, or a search result.
2. Compare the username letter by letter. The classic trick swaps a lowercase l for a capital I, which render identically in Telegram. "@GMGN_soI_bot" (capital I) is not "@GMGN_sol_bot". Zero for the letter O, and extra underscores or suffixes such as "_official" or "_v2", are other common variants.
3. Check the bot's age and pinned content. Official bots have long histories and are linked from official channels. A bot created last week is not GMGN.
4. Watch what it asks for. Real GMGN bots never request your seed phrase, private key, 2FA code, or an "approval" transaction to "activate" your account.

For anything involving order management or research, open the terminal. Reach the main bot only through the links published on gmgn.ai, and use the chain-specific handles from the table for trading.
