GMGN Login Guide (2026): Every Sign-In Method Explained

GMGN login is straightforward once you know one rule: the method you sign in with defines the account you get. GMGN supports Telegram, Google, email and password, Phantom, MetaMask, and (in the mobile app) QR-code login, but a Telegram sign-in and a Phantom sign-in produce two different accounts with two different wallets, and GMGN does not merge them.

This guide covers every GMGN AI login route, how to sign up, how to connect Phantom or MetaMask, what changes when you use "Trade with Wallet," how to set up 2FA with Google Authenticator, where to find your UID, how to connect and disconnect X, and what to do when the "Just a moment" screen will not go away. It is based on GMGN's documentation at docs.gmgn.ai and the live site as of September 2026.

Which GMGN login method should you use?

Every method gets you into the same terminal, but they differ in what the resulting account can do. Per GMGN's docs, here is the comparison:

If you want copy trading, use Telegram: GMGN's docs state that copy tasks require Telegram login and that browser-wallet login cannot run tasks. If you never want GMGN to hold keys, use Trade with Wallet and accept that you lose Anti-MEV and all automated orders. Everything in between is a hosted-wallet account.

GMGN sign up: how to create an account

There is no separate GMGN AI sign up form. Your first login with any method creates the account. Steps:

1. Open https://gmgn.ai in a desktop or mobile browser. Check the address bar reads exactly gmgn.ai (see the fakes section below).
2. Click Log in in the top right.
3. Choose a method. For Telegram, a Telegram OAuth window opens; approve it in the Telegram app. For Google, pick the account. For email, enter an address, set a password, and confirm the verification code GMGN sends.
4. GMGN generates a hosted wallet for each supported chain (Solana, BSC, Ethereum, Base, Tron, and the others listed in the chain switcher). You will see the addresses under your wallet icon.
5. Open Settings and bind Google Authenticator now. Details below.
6. Deposit only after 2FA is set, and keep at least 0.05 SOL in reserve on Solana for gas and rent.

There is no KYC step in GMGN's published docs. The Terms of Service do contain a sanctions representation (section 5.2), so you are attesting to eligibility even without uploading documents. If you were referred, the referral link (gmgn.ai/r/CODE) must be used before the first login; the GMGN referral and invite code page explains what the referrer earns and why a user-side discount is not documented.

GMGN web login vs GMGN login app

The website and the app share accounts. A GMGN web login on desktop and a GMGN login app session on your phone can be the same account as long as you use the same method.

• Web: all methods above, plus Trade with Wallet.
• iOS and Android apps: Telegram, Google, email, Phantom, MetaMask, and QR scan. QR scan shows a code in the app; you scan it from a logged-in web session to copy that session to the phone without re-entering credentials.
• Telegram bots (@GMGN_sol_bot and per-chain bots): log in by starting the bot; it uses your Telegram identity, which is the same account as Telegram login on the web.

Withdrawals are website-only regardless of where you logged in. The app and bots can buy, sell, and configure orders but cannot send funds out. If you have not installed the app yet, the GMGN app download guide lists the genuine listings and how to spot fakes.

How to connect Phantom wallet to GMGN

"Connect Phantom wallet to GMGN" means two different things on the site, and the distinction matters.

Option A: Log in with Phantom

1. Click Log in, then Phantom.
2. Approve the signature request in the Phantom extension or mobile app. This is a message signature, not a transaction, and it should not ask for any token approval.
3. GMGN creates a new hosted account tied to that Phantom address and generates its own GMGN wallet inside it.

Your Phantom balance does not appear in GMGN. You still have to deposit into the GMGN wallet to trade. This is the GMGN Phantom wallet trap: people sign in with Phantom, see an empty wallet, and assume something broke. Nothing broke; Phantom is only being used as an identity.

Option B: Trade with Wallet

Choose Trade with Wallet instead of a login method. Now GMGN builds swaps that your Phantom extension signs directly, so funds never leave your wallet. The cost, per GMGN's docs, is that Anti-MEV is unavailable and no automation (limit orders, TP/SL, copy trading, sniping) will run because GMGN cannot sign for you.

The separate-accounts trap

Telegram login and Phantom login create separate accounts that do not merge. The same applies between any two identity providers. Symptoms:

• Different UID after logging in "the other way."
• Empty holdings even though you deposited yesterday.
• Copy-trade tasks missing.

The fix is to log out and back in with the method you deposited under. If you cannot remember which, check the UID in Settings against any support ticket or referral screenshot you have. Support cannot merge accounts; nothing in GMGN's docs describes an account-merge process.

MetaMask and GMGN on EVM chains

MetaMask GMGN login mirrors the Phantom flow: MetaMask signs a message to prove identity, and GMGN creates a hosted account with its own EVM wallet. Two EVM-specific warnings from GMGN's documentation:

• Importing an external wallet gives GMGN the private key, and on EVM chains an import irreversibly replaces the old GMGN address for that chain. Do not import a wallet that holds anything you are not prepared to trade.
• Private-key export is disabled on all chains, including for imported wallets, since around 19 March 2025. What goes into a GMGN EVM wallet only comes out through the withdrawal flow.

For BSC, Ethereum, and Base trading with MetaMask as the signer rather than as an identity, use Trade with Wallet, with the same automation trade-off.

How to set up GMGN 2FA with Google Authenticator

GMGN 2FA uses Google Authenticator (any TOTP app that reads the QR code also works). It is mandatory for withdrawals and strongly advisable before your first deposit.

1. Open Settings on the website.
2. Find the security or 2FA section and choose Bind Google Authenticator.
3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, or enter the secret key manually. Write the secret key down offline; if you lose the phone and the key, you will need to re-bind, and re-binding triggers a 24-hour withdrawal hold.
4. Enter the six-digit code to confirm.

Withdrawal-related timing rules that hang off 2FA, per GMGN's docs:

Never share a 2FA code with anyone claiming to be GMGN support. Real support works through in-app tickets and the official Telegram group; the GMGN support page lists the genuine channels. For the full withdrawal procedure, see the GMGN withdraw and wallet guide.

What is your GMGN UID and where to find it?

Each account carries a numeric GMGN UID. It appears in Settings and on the referral or rewards page (gmgn.ai/rewards). Uses:

• Support tickets. GMGN asks for the UID to locate your account.
• Telling accounts apart. If you suspect the separate-accounts trap, compare UIDs across logins.
• Referral tracking. Your referral code is separate from the UID, but both sit on the same page.

The UID is not sensitive on its own, but pair it with caution: a scammer who knows your UID and pretends to be support sounds more credible. Verify handles character by character; GMGN's own phishing guidance notes that scammers swap a capital I for a lowercase l in bot names.

How to connect X to GMGN (and how to disconnect X from GMGN)

X (Twitter) connect powers GMGN's X Tracker and KOL features: tweets mentioning a contract address, KOL wallet labels, and social signals in the token page.

To connect:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Find the X or Twitter connection option and click Connect.
3. Authorize the GMGN application on X. Review the permissions X shows you; GMGN reads your account to link it.

How to disconnect X from GMGN: return to the same Settings section and click Disconnect. To be thorough, also open X's own "Connected apps" settings and revoke GMGN there, which cuts access even if the GMGN-side toggle fails.

Connecting X is optional. Trading, wallet tracking, and copy trading all work without it. If you only want to follow tweets about tokens, the X Tracker feed is visible without linking your own account.

GMGN "Just a moment" screen: what it is and how to clear it

The GMGN "Just a moment" page is Cloudflare's browser challenge. gmgn.ai sits behind Cloudflare, and when the check is unsure whether you are a human it holds the page for a few seconds. It is not a login failure and not a GMGN outage.

If it loops instead of clearing:

1. Wait ten seconds, then refresh once. Rapid refreshing makes the check more suspicious.
2. Turn off a VPN or switch to a less crowded exit node. Datacenter IPs trigger the challenge more often.
3. Pause aggressive ad blockers or privacy extensions for gmgn.ai; some block the Cloudflare script that completes the check.
4. Clear cookies for gmgn.ai and try again, or use a different browser.
5. Check the official X account (@gmgnai) or Telegram (t.me/gmgnai) for outage notices.

Official GMGN login URL vs fakes

Only these domains are official as of September 2026: gmgn.ai (app and login), docs.gmgn.ai, gmgn.ai/app, gmgn.ai/ai, gmgn.ai/rewards, and gmgn.cc for chart embeds and support. The official X account is @gmgnai, the Telegram is t.me/gmgnai, and the GitHub organization is github.com/GMGNAI.

There is no gmgn.io, gmgn.com, or "gmgn ia" site; those are misspellings people type into search. Known typosquats include app-gmgn-ai.com, gmgn-tracker, and gmgn-app.at. A fake login page looks identical to the real one and harvests whatever you enter, including 2FA codes. Rules that prevent this:

• Type gmgn.ai yourself or use a bookmark. Never log in from a link in a DM, a reply, or a sponsored search result.
• Look for the padlock and the exact domain, not just the logo.
• GMGN will never ask for your 2FA code, password, or seed phrase in Telegram or X.
• Be suspicious of any "approval" transaction during login. Real login is a signature, not a token approval.

In October 2025 roughly 107 GMGN users were hit by a phishing campaign; GMGN promised full compensation, but that is not a safety net you should rely on. The GMGN phishing check has a longer list of red flags, and is GMGN safe covers the custody model behind every login.
