GMGN Binance transfers are the most common way people fund a GMGN wallet: buy SOL, BNB or ETH on Binance, withdraw it on the correct network to your GMGN deposit address, trade, then send profits back to Binance to cash out. The whole route takes a few minutes once it is set up, and almost every expensive mistake comes from one choice: the network.

This guide walks both directions step by step, with exact network choices for each chain, the wrong-network traps, minimum amounts and reserves, the fees on each leg, and what changes on OKX and Bybit. It also explains why there is no "connect Binance" button: GMGN is not an exchange, so every move between the two is an ordinary blockchain transfer.

GMGN vs Binance: why you need both for a GMGN Binance setup

Binance and GMGN do different jobs, which is why most traders use them together.

  • Binance is a centralized exchange. It holds your funds in an exchange account, connects to cards and banks, and lists a curated set of coins.
  • GMGN is a trading terminal for meme coins. It gives you a hosted trading wallet per chain, shows tokens seconds after they launch, and routes trades to on-chain pools for a flat 1% fee per buy and sell. GMGN's documentation does not describe a card or bank on-ramp. Our explainer on what GMGN AI is covers the product in depth.

So the typical loop is: fiat into Binance, gas token out to GMGN, trade on GMGN, gas token back to Binance, fiat out. Each arrow between Binance and GMGN is a blockchain withdrawal.

Which network should you choose? The GMGN deposit network table

Send the chain's native gas token to the GMGN wallet for that same chain. Binance often lists one coin on several networks, so the network dropdown is where you must slow down.

You want to trade on GMGN Send this coin Network to select on Binance Do not select
Solana SOL Solana (SOL) BNB Smart Chain or any wrapped-SOL option
BSC BNB BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) BEP2, opBNB, Ethereum (ERC20)
Ethereum ETH Ethereum (ERC20) BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum, Optimism
Base ETH Base Ethereum (ERC20) unless you mean to fund Ethereum
Tron TRX Tron (TRC20) Any EVM network

Two notes on this table. First, network labels on Binance change over time, so match the meaning, not just the text. Second, for chains GMGN supports that your exchange does not list as a withdrawal network, such as some newer chains, you would need a bridge from a self-custody wallet, which is outside this guide. GMGN's documentation does not describe a built-in bridge; our GMGN chains guide explains the options.

The wrong-network warning

GMGN wallets are ordinary on-chain addresses. If you send funds on a network your GMGN wallet is not watching, GMGN cannot see or recover them. The common errors:

  • SOL sent on BNB Smart Chain. Binance may offer a BEP20 version of SOL. It arrives as a wrapped token on BSC, not as SOL on Solana. It will not appear in your Solana GMGN wallet.
  • ETH sent on BNB Smart Chain. Same problem: a BEP20 token on BSC, not ETH on Ethereum or Base.
  • Funding Ethereum when you meant Base. EVM addresses on Ethereum, BSC and Base may be the same string, but funds live on whichever network you sent them on. Sending to the right address on the wrong EVM chain is the most frequent "missing deposit".
  • Old BEP2 network for BNB. If it appears at all, ignore it. A GMGN BNB Smart Chain deposit uses BEP20.

How to deposit to GMGN from Binance, step by step

The GMGN Binance deposit has three steps: copy the address, withdraw on the right network, and test before sending the full amount.

Before you start, bind Google Authenticator 2FA in GMGN. It is mandatory for withdrawals later, and binding it before you deposit avoids a 24-hour hold that applies after re-binding. The GMGN login guide covers the setup and explains why Telegram and Phantom logins create separate accounts; deposit under the login you will keep using.

Step 1: copy your GMGN deposit address

  1. Open gmgn.ai, typed by hand, and log in.
  2. Switch to the chain you want to trade on, for example Solana or BSC.
  3. Click your wallet address in the top right (or open the Assets tab in the app) and copy the deposit address for that chain.
  4. Check the first and last few characters once you paste it anywhere.

Step 2: withdraw from Binance

  1. In Binance, go to Wallet, then Withdraw, and choose crypto withdrawal.
  2. Select the coin: SOL, BNB or ETH.
  3. Paste your GMGN address.
  4. Select the network using the table above.
  5. Leave any memo or tag field empty if one appears; a GMGN wallet does not use one.
  6. Enter the amount, review the network fee Binance shows, and confirm with your Binance security checks. Depending on your region, Binance may also ask you to declare that the destination is a personal or non-exchange wallet.

Step 3: test first, then send the rest

Send a small test amount first, wait for it to appear in GMGN, then send the balance. The extra withdrawal fee is cheap insurance against a typo or a wrong network.

Minimum amounts, reserves and the memo question

  • Binance minimums. Binance sets a minimum withdrawal per coin and network and shows it on the withdrawal screen. Check it there; it changes.
  • GMGN has no documented minimum deposit, but trade size matters. With a flat 1% fee per trade plus a priority fee, trades under about 0.1 SOL lose a large share to costs. The GMGN fees guide shows the maths.
  • Keep a reserve. On Solana, keep at least 0.05 SOL in your GMGN wallet for gas and token-account rent. On EVM chains, keep enough of the gas token for the sells you plan to make.
  • No memo needed. Memos tell an exchange which customer a shared deposit address belongs to. A GMGN wallet is yours alone, so Solana, BSC, Ethereum and Base deposits need none.

How long does a Binance to GMGN transfer take?

Two clocks run in sequence:

  1. Binance processing. Binance reviews and broadcasts the withdrawal. This is often quick, but security checks can hold it longer, especially on a new address.
  2. Chain confirmation. Solana and BNB Smart Chain confirm quickly; Ethereum mainnet is slower and more expensive.

Once the transaction shows as complete on Binance, it should appear in GMGN after a refresh. If GMGN shows "No data", the chain view usually has not loaded rather than the deposit being lost; check the transaction on a block explorer. Persistent problems are covered in GMGN not working.

GMGN OKX deposit and Bybit: what changes

The rules are identical; only the menus differ.

  • OKX: use the on-chain withdrawal option (not an internal transfer to another OKX user), pick the coin, then pick the network: Solana for SOL, BSC or BEP20 for BNB, ERC20 or Base for ETH. OKX also runs a separate self-custody wallet product; withdrawing from the OKX exchange to GMGN is still just an on-chain withdrawal.
  • Bybit: go to Assets, Withdraw, choose on-chain withdrawal, select the coin and chain, and paste your GMGN address.

Whichever exchange you use, any GMGN exchange deposit follows the same four checks: right coin, right network, no memo, small test first.

How to withdraw from GMGN to Binance

The return leg of a GMGN Binance round trip is where most people get stuck, usually on the whitelist hold.

Withdrawing from GMGN to Binance takes more setup than depositing, because GMGN adds security holds.

  1. Get your Binance deposit address for the coin and the matching network: SOL on Solana, BNB on BNB Smart Chain (BEP20), ETH on Ethereum or Base. If Binance shows a memo for that network, you will need to include it; for these networks it normally does not.
  2. Sell your tokens to the gas asset first. Send SOL, BNB or ETH to Binance, not meme coins. A meme coin sent to a SOL-only deposit address is usually gone.
  3. Use the website. Withdrawals work only on gmgn.ai; the Telegram bot cannot withdraw.
  4. Whitelist the Binance address in GMGN's withdrawal settings. Adding or changing a whitelist address triggers a 3-hour hold before you can withdraw to it.
  5. Confirm with Google Authenticator 2FA. It is mandatory. If you re-bound 2FA recently, a 24-hour hold applies.
  6. Use Max carefully. GMGN's Max option leaves some balance behind for rent and gas, so the amount received is slightly less than your balance.
  7. Wait for Binance to credit it. Binance requires a number of network confirmations before crediting, shown on its deposit page.

The full withdrawal walkthrough, including why private key export is prohibited on GMGN, is in the GMGN withdraw guide.

What fees do you pay on each leg?

Leg Who charges What you pay
Binance to GMGN Binance A withdrawal fee per coin and network; check Binance's current fee page
Arriving in GMGN Nobody GMGN documents no deposit fee
Each trade on GMGN GMGN, validators, launchpads 1% GMGN fee per buy and per sell, a user-set priority fee and optional tip, plus launchpad fees such as Pump.fun's 1%
GMGN to Binance Network The chain's transaction fee for the withdrawal
Arriving in Binance Binance Deposits are generally free; confirm on Binance's fee page

The 1% GMGN fee applies to trades, not to moving funds in or out. Network choice changes your costs most: Ethereum mainnet transfers cost noticeably more than Solana or BNB Smart Chain.

Mistakes to avoid when you fund a GMGN wallet from Binance

  • Logging in a different way later. A deposit made under your Telegram login will not show under a Phantom login; they are separate accounts.
  • Using a link to reach GMGN. Type gmgn.ai yourself. Lookalike domains target exactly this moment, when you are holding funds ready to deposit.
  • Skipping 2FA before depositing. You will need it to get money out.
  • Sending your whole balance in one go. Test first.
  • Treating GMGN as storage. GMGN uses a hosted wallet and prohibits key export, so withdraw what you are not trading. Our is GMGN safe review explains the custody trade-offs.

Key takeaways

  • The GMGN Binance route is two ordinary blockchain transfers, not an account link.
  • Match the network to the chain: Solana for SOL, BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) for BNB, Ethereum or Base for ETH.
  • No memo is needed to deposit; a small test transfer is always worth the extra fee.
  • Withdrawing back needs the website, Google Authenticator 2FA and a whitelisted Binance address with a 3-hour hold.
  • Fees: Binance's withdrawal fee, network fees, and GMGN's 1% on trades only.

Frequently asked questions

How do I deposit to GMGN from Binance?

In GMGN, copy the deposit address for the chain you want to trade on. In Binance, choose Withdraw, pick the coin, paste the address and select the matching network: Solana for SOL, BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) for BNB, Ethereum (ERC20) or Base for ETH. Send a small test first, then the rest.

Which network should I use to send BNB to GMGN?

BNB Smart Chain, shown on Binance as BEP20 (BSC). Your GMGN BSC wallet is an EVM address on BNB Smart Chain. Do not use the old BEP2 or any other network, and do not send BNB on Ethereum or opBNB unless you know your GMGN wallet supports that exact chain.

Do I need a memo to send crypto from Binance to GMGN?

No. A GMGN wallet is an ordinary on-chain address, so Solana, BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum and Base transfers to it need no memo or tag. Memos are used by exchanges to tell customers apart on shared deposit addresses, which a GMGN wallet does not use.

How do I withdraw from GMGN to Binance?

On the gmgn.ai website, bind Google Authenticator 2FA, whitelist your Binance deposit address for the matching network, wait out the 3-hour hold that applies after adding a new address, then withdraw. The Telegram bot cannot withdraw, and the app sends you to the website.

Is GMGN an exchange like Binance?

No. Binance is a centralized exchange with its own order book and custody. GMGN is a trading terminal that routes trades to on-chain pools from a hosted wallet. You move funds between them with normal blockchain transfers, not an internal account transfer.

Does the same process work for OKX and Bybit?

Yes. OKX and Bybit both offer on-chain withdrawals where you choose the network. The rules are identical: match the network to your GMGN chain, skip the memo, test with a small amount, and whitelist the exchange's deposit address before withdrawing back from GMGN.
